Okay, for all my revelations, epiphanies, and new outlooks, it's still taken me this long to start drawing again. That's right, I finally sat my ass down and started a new sketch. The first actual one in more than two months. That's a whole lotta inertia to overcome, just ask Newton.

Isaac. Not Wayne or Olivia. Or Fig.

I'm a little pleased with the results thus far, as shall be posted as soon as it's finished. It's of my main Everquest 2 character, Thunar Wotanson of Stormhammer. I'm going to be offering up my services to my guildmates if they want commissioned drawings of their characters, so I figure it'd be nice if they could see a sample of my work directly from the game.

Now for the bad news.

My dad is going to be undergoing a regimen of both chemotherapy AND radiation therapy to "ensure" that they've gotten all the cancer. Now, I'm told that it's a very light course, and he probably won't lose his hair (not that he's got much left) or get very sick during the treatment, but he's got to do it for five months. It'll be just after Thanksgiving before he's finished.

We were hoping the surgery would be the end of it. Figures.

No further news on my nephew. They want to run more tests, but apparently there's some sort of wait involved. His platelet count is still pretty low, so I suppose that's got something to do with it. Lupus is still high on the suspect list, but it could be something else still.

Comic-Con is coming up, and I hope to have some portfolio pieces done in time to show to some editors. Gee, that'd be nice, and it'd be something to show Dad.
